My husband has been going to the new Kernersville facility since it opened. He went to WS & Salisbury prior. He was assigned a new Dr. when he transferred to Kernersville. She has been less than interested in actually doing any examining or treatment according to his medical needs. The nurses have been mostly great. The reception staff is rude and lazy. Rarely do they answer phones or return calls if you're even able to leave a message. The latest incident is truly telling just how lacking they are in patient care. My husband had an MRI 2 weeks ago on his hip and back. He has been experiencing excruciating pain for many months in that area. He was told the results should only take a couple of days. I called them this morning and after about 30 minutes of persistence finally got through to nothing more than a possibly warm body on the other end. He told me he would send a message to the Dr that we would like to know something about the MRI results. Why, in God's name, does a 'Dr' need to be told to render results of a test to their patient??? This is just one of many very disappointing episodes at this facility and with this particular Dr. Btw, it only took about 2 months of calling to get an appointment set up. Worst health care EVER. Veterans deserve so much better.

The most recent of the VA hospital clinics to be installed in North Carolina. Has a full range of options for Primary Care and the majority of the additional clinics expected of a civilian hospital. Normal government hours 0800-1700 (parking lot opens at 0700 and closes at 1900). Easy to get to, easy to find. Multiple check in electronic kiosks on all levels. Very friendly and helpful volunteer staff (coffee desk on second deck). The doctors and nursing staff I have encountered so far are all very friendly, helpful, and [most of all] knowledgeable. The initial check in staff are very understanding of those new to the system and ensure that you get all the correct paperwork submitted. On site security from parking lot open to close.
